First day off! Went into Shibuya and did some shopping. Great time with great people. I absolutely love Japan!
Everything’s better in slo-mo
We’re finished with the first act!
Inside out pancakes
Shorter vlog today. Being productive as always. Got to check out a little bit of the area around the theater. We’re down the street from a US Air Force Base.
Awesome (but wet) Slide!
So tech is a necessary part of any stage production. As a swing it’s a little boring because they use primarily the normal cast to set the lighting and sound. My job gets a lot more exciting once it’s all set and I can successfully swing someone out for a show.
I will say today’s vlog is a little scatterbrained, but I’ll tell you it’s better than footage of me reading books off an iPad! The show is making huge strides and I really wish I could show it to you. Here’s to hoping for another tour (especially one in the US)
Authentic Japanese Spaghetti?
Today was the first full day of tech. I want to apologize for you depressingly boring I become throughout today’s vlog. Jet lag was finally starting to hit me and there wasn’t much for me to do today! I do love my job and it’s awesome that I can do stuff like this for a living.
I will say that today was one of the first times I started getting real goosebumps. It’s exciting to be putting together a new production. And especially a new iteration of a show I always had a dream of being a part of. This show is going to be very special and I’m very excited for where the show will go and where I’ll get to go along the way from it!

Hi. Vlog. Check it out.
26 Hour Travel Day
Okay, so I know I’ve already missed my daily posting goal, but gimme a break, I’ve been on a plane most of the day. Anyway here’s my next vlog. Officially in Japan!
Well, here goes talking to myself in public places and narrating my life. For real though I thought it might be interesting for myself and viewers to have a snapshot of day to day goings on as a musician at Blast! While I won’t be able to post any actual show content due to copyright laws I will be attempting to post any possible behind the scenes and adventures I may embark on in Japan. While this series is specific to this tour I am exploring the idea of eventually making this into a regular percussion blog where I will discuss different aspects of being a musician.
I’m departing tomorrow morning (August 8) and will be in Japan until our short tour ends on September 12. Pending wifi, expect posts from Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. If you can read Japanese check out the tour website here.
Like and subscribe for more! I’ll talk to you again in Japan!
New City, New Adventures, New Website!
Hello and welcome to my brand new website!
A lot of new and exciting things have been occurring in my life. I’ve moved from Denton, TX to Greensboro, NC. I’ll be beginning graduate school at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. And most exciting I’ll be in Japan performing with Blast! this year!!!
So it makes sense that this is as good a time as any to open up my new website! It’s definitely still a work in progress, but my goal is to expand my media footprint and begin to develop some branding on social media.
I have several plans lined up for this fall which I hope you will find exciting. There are several video and compositional projects I will be working on and posting about periodically. Additionally I’m planning on posting an as close to daily blog/vlog of my Japan trip right here on my website! In the mean time here are some pictures from our rehearsal period in Nashville for “Blast! the Music of Disney” (Disclaimer: Keep in mind I’m not allowed to post most content regarding the actual show due to copyrights, so these are mostly photos taken around rehearsals.)
